PODVAST – O contains two medicines: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Ofloxacin which are used to treat infections caused because of bacterial. Cefpodoxime belongs to the class of medications called cephalosporin antibiotics which help in stopping the growth of bacteria. Cefpodoxime Proxetil tablets help in preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is important for the survival of bacterial infection. The tablet helps in the treatment of bronchitis, pneumonia, gonorrhea, infections of the skin, ear, tonsils, sinuses, throat, and urinary tract.

Ofloxacin belongs to the medical class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones which kills the bacteria that cause infections. Ofloxacin tablets stop the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. The table is used to treat certain infections including pneumonia, infections of the skin, bladder, reproductive organs, and prostate (a male reproductive gland). Together, they treat the bacteria infection effectively.
